<p>The Bachelor's Degree in Black Studies at the University of Western Ontario offers an interdisciplinary exploration of the historical and contemporary experiences of people of African descent. The curriculum covers various themes, including but not limited to the diaspora, cultural expressions, social justice, and the impact of colonialism and racism. This program encourages critical thinking and analysis through the study of literature, politics, and sociology.</p><p>Students will engage with a diverse range of texts, media, and academic perspectives that highlight the richness of Black culture and its contributions to society. The program emphasizes both theoretical frameworks and real-world applications, providing students with the tools to understand and critique social structures.
